Q,
You may know me as your mom’s photographer friend, or we may see each other a few times over the past years. To me, you’ve been a twinkling star that has grown brighter and stronger over the fifteen years I’ve been taking pictures of you, your mom, your sister, and your family. I watched you from behind my lens, from this adorable little boy being carried by your momma as we walked around Saint Anthony Main, giving Eskimo kisses and being cradled in her arms, to snuggling and cradling your puppy Larry a few years after that. Now, as you reach another chapter in your life, graduating high school and off to college somewhere (hopefully close enough to visit your mom and family from time to time), I can’t help but get emotional getting to know you from my viewpoint. I watched this shy, sweet boy holding his momma’s hand to holding his little sister’s, patiently coaching and watching after her while being a role model to her. From age 2-3 to 17… it’s been an honor and a pleasure to witness you grow into the person you are today. I hope to see you become a professional, in whatever you decide to do, knowing you will succeed in all things you seek to achieve.
With admiration and adoration, from the lady behind the lens,
-Nana
